73rd SOS lends a helping hand

The 73rd Special Operations Squadron raised nearly $1300 over the holidays, half of which was presented in the form of a check to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

The other half is being donated to Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides college scholarships to children who lost a parent while serving in either the Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine Corps.

“All of the money was donated through members of the squadron or spouses,” said 1st Lieutenant Dustin Tharrett, navigator, 73rd Special Operations Squadron. “We had a good year and the squadron wanted to give back to something that we thought was important.”
