Friday

Cannon Appreciation Day — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unity Park. Open to all base personnel. 2 to 4 p.m. Games and prizes.
Back to School Dance — 4 to 8 p.m. Youth Center. For youth ages 9-18.
Golf Shoot Out — 5 p.m. tee time. Whispering Winds Golf Course. Entry fee is $7 per person. Green and cart fees not included. Nine hole shooter will kick-off base championship tournament weekend.
Open Recreation — 4 to 6:30 p.m. for tweens and 7 to 10 p.m. for teens. Activities include: Game challenge, 4-H gardening, Fit Factor, Teen issues/discussions and skill tech.  Information: 784-2747.

 

Saturday

Cannon Golf Championship — 7 a.m. tee time. Whispering Winds Golf Course. Entry fee is $25 per person. Green and cart fees not included.
Bowler Appreciation Night — 5 p.m. to midnight. Cannon Lanes. Bowl three games for $4.50. A three game limit applies per person.
Give Parents a Break — 11 am. to 5 p.m. Child Development Center. Call CDC to reserve a spot or to find out qualifications. Information: 784-2704.
Open Recreation — Noon to 4 p.m. for tweens and 5 to 9 p.m. for teens. Activities include: Game challenge, 4-H gardening, Fit Factor, Teen issues/discussions and skill tech.  Information: 784-2747.

Back to School Block Party — 11 a.m to 1 p.m. 801 Clovis Community Center. Event includes free food, games, prizes and entertainment. Information: 784-6381.
Nine hole golf scramble — 5 p.m. shotgun start. Whispering Winds Golf Course. Two person scramble. Entry fee is $7 per person. Green and cart fees not included. Sign up by 3 p.m.
Retiree Golfers Special — Whispering Winds Golf Course. Retirees receive $2 off daily green fees and 50 percent off electric carts. Must present military I.D.

 

Tuesday

Book over to bowling party — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 12. Book over to Bowling participants need to turn in their completed bookmarks to be eligible for the free party. Information: 784-2280.

Sketching Workshop — 6 p.m. Cannon Library. Information: 784-2786.
Chess is for Everyone — 6 p.m. Cannon Community Center. Open to everyone eligible to use the Community Center and Youth Center.
Kids Club Membership Kickoff — 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Landing. Food and activities provided. Free for children ages 10 and under. $5 per adult.
Open Recreation — 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for tweens and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for teens. Activities include: Game challenge, 4-H gardening, Fit Factor, Teen issues/discussions and skill tech.  Information: 784-2747.
AYCE Pizza Buffet — 11 a.m. The End Zone.

Back to School Shopping Trip — 7 a.m. departure from ITT. Trip is to Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Texas. Cost is $25 per person.

Aug. 19

Story Time — 10 a.m. Cannon Library. Includes story and craft.
